the model came out good but the paint finish needs alot more work which i intend to do properly after the comp. need to do a clear coat after fixing up the paintfinish and then polish etc… the proper exhausts needs to be added and the wheels are missing a red stripe and touch up. not too bad for my first attempt at a scale model of a car. i made many mistakes but learnt heaps for the next project. and apart from the rushed timeline i really enjoyed working on the model and looking forward to make another one.

The HSV CRYO offers a sexy hard top and convertible, to cruise around in style. In hydrogen mode the car produces water vapor through the exhaust leaving the smallest carbon footprint possible. At the push of a button the V8 is ignited by ethanol providing the power needed to be a performance car. The sweet sound through the twin exhausts exits from the sides and gives the driver an audible experience. For this car to work the driver needs to hear the engine, the rattle of the exhausts and feel the power and vibrations of the engine and make peoples heads turn when it drives by. And the fact that one of these V8’s is replacing ten is a huge benefit to the environment.

Other features are eye catching hub less rims based on the Osmos wheel, super car scissor doors, sexy exterior styling and a racing inspired biodegradable and recyclable interior resembling carbon fiber.

The Cryo is a front engine rear drive four seat coupe, with the space of a large sedan designed for the performance sharing system.

Car sharing is to have access to a vehicle without the hassles of owning one. The idea of car sharing is to reduce the number of cars on our roads and by doing so reducing emissions. One share car replaces approx 5 – 10 privately own cars, and you only need to pay for how far you travel.

Becoming a member of car sharing is a simple online process, where you sign up an account and benefit from using a service such as this.

Once you’re a member you receive a security card which allows you to access to the parking lots and cars. When you join you pay the small annual membership fee which covers insurance, maintenance and other costs similar to owning a car only you don’t have to purchase the car in the first place. You just have to book a car for the time you need and pay small amounts for the time you use. The system charges on a km basis, which works out to be around $20 for 100km’s, $10 for 50km etc…

Simply all you have to do is book a car online or on spot at parking bay, (the system locates the nearest available car) use the car and return it when your done.

Performance sharing

In the year 2020 Melbourne’s car sharing system becomes a part of public transport and is linked to other services within this system like performance sharing. Car sharing for car enthusiasts, sports cars, muscle cars etc…

These people have beautiful machines and would need a service that provides the same thrill as owning a performance car. Current sharing systems have small city cars, mid size sedans etc… and I ask myself if I where to give up my V8 what would I drive?

The system offers two models with many more on the way; the two HSV cars are the Encore and the Cryo GTS. (GT.C convertible) both are duel fuel hydrogen and ethanol powered muscle cars styled differently to attract not just car enthusiasts. The idea behind performance sharing is to appeal to anyone interested in giving up their car in order to reduce emissions.

The system operates in 3 zones, a city zone where small city cars go about their everyday business, zone 2 is the surrounding suburbs and offers more variety of cars to support the demand of most of the population, and the fun zone which the performance car sharing is based. There is of course some overlapping with these zones and cars are free to roam anywhere, this is all regulated by the systems mother server, which monitors all the cars and parking bays. Zone 2 and 3 offer a variety of services from muscle cars to family sedans to accommodate the needs of a large population.

The only catch is you have to give-up your car in order to get the full benefit of car sharing.

The web interface

The final design for the HSV concept is a convertible, which shares architecture from the hard top version shown in previous renders. The difference is the canopy , the convertible has a full smart glass roof and different C pillar acting as a roll bar.

The racing stripes comes out from the bonnet and sweeps through the glass to form the instrument panel and glove box, they then reappear from the rear seat head rest and like the front twist and form the split rear spoilers. (Previously in renders the bonnet had a bulge and there were no visible lights, this could be used for a third model a Senetor version of this concept, it’s just a thought.)

The doors open by firstly pulling out and then with a scissor action lifts vertically over the panel behind the front wheel, keeping the overall width of the car no larger than the wheel fenders with the doors open. The elongated doors allow easy access for the rear passengers.

HSV’s current line up lacks a convertible (or a coupe), this would be a sexy addition to the Australian muscle car range.

the Hybrid F700 concept has a Gasoline-powered motor with an electric helper motor, it accelerates from 0-100kn/h in 7.5 sec ( not that quick) has a governed top speed of 200km/h and uses 5.3L/100km

Indeed, the engine is a 1.8 liters 4-cylinders gasoline unit, which showcases the so-called “Diesotto” cycle, combining controlled auto ignition (CAI), direct fuel injection and turbocharging, for a total output of 238 hp (+20 hp by the electric motor), comparable to that of a 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 engine.

why not? these cars aren’t driven much anyway and those who would appriciate them can’t always afford these beautiful machines.
